Is Greg Pritchard Going to Outrank Paul Potts

Greg Pritchard is the newest Britain's got talent sensation with his audition singing Nessun Dorma. He did sing like a soprano which is actually a female voice. Looking like a rock star wannabe everyone was suprised at the song choice, and finally by his singing. Is it possible that Greg will reach the victory of BGT like Potts did with his performance? It remais to be seen as the finals start in a few weeks!

Paul Potts was definitely a typical Britains Got Talent sensation. A man who looked (and was) like a mobile phone salesman who was not going to be too famous. And that is what everyone liked about him. With his version of Nessun Dorma he speeded to fame. What Greg Pritchard is lacking is the normal looks. Usually someone who amazes everyone completely is a normal looking person. Or even someone who you would not see too often and you'd be glad you did not. But Greg looks like a rock star. That is the difference, but it is also impressive since he looks like a rock star wannabe, and sings like an opera professional. He will give a lot of publicity to the whole opera culture if he ever makes it to the stardome with his singing!

Greg Pritchards voice is indeed unique as he sings way higher than men usually sing. He has explained the uniqueness of his voice by always practicing in the car and his bedroom with the music volume been set very loud. His mother was always shouting at him to put the music down but Greg never stopped singing. His high notes reach the scale of a soprano which is a female scale in the world of opera. He does classify himself as a male soprano!

The judges were at least as suprised as the audience who were present and those who were watching the show at home. Piers Morgan was left with his jaw on the table and mentioned many times that his singing was extraordinary. He could not believe that it was actually his voice that was coming out of the mouth of Greg Pritchard. The young man who looked like he had spent his whole youth laying on home tanning beds. It was nothing what he was expecting!

  1. Greg is a true breath of fresh air as well as a very talented performer ( it should be no surprise that someone who presents as ultra edgy in his style should further push the audience with his male soprano voice - so cool and yet such a rebel) - but I do hope that he can remember the words better next time. He really deserves the chance for first class full professional training, including language training.

  2. Greg:
When you walked out on stage, I thought, wow...another Adam Lambert. I was wrong in that aspect. But you are truly in a class of your own. I was absolutely amazed by your voice. Your looks are great as well. I wish you much success! Maybe when you go on tour you will come to the US. I will be the first in line! Best of luck my friend. ROY KIRKLAND www.ohroyshow.com

I've quoted this paragraph because this is why I think greg will be a huge star. He has this fantastic look that will appeal to a much younger generation. Greg will definately put the cool back into Opera because of how he looks (and sings)!
